Former Red Bull chief Horner Reportedly Reaching Out to Various Grand Prix Team Bosses
Previous Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is allegedly "contacting nearly every team principal" as he seeks a return to Formula 1, according to Aston Martin top executive Andy Cowell.
The British racing team is among the squads that are associated with Horner.
The team executive stated he had checked the developments with team principal Lawrence Stroll recently at the Singapore Grand Prix.
"It seems like Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," said the CEO.
"I can unequivocally confirm there are no arrangements for the involvement of Christian in an leadership or investment capacity in the future."
Additional Squads Comment
The US-based squad boss Ayao Komatsu stated that the former Red Bull leader had "contacted" the Stateside organization but noted: "Things haven't advanced. The matter is closed."
The French manufacturer executive director Steve Nielsen stated the organization's advisor and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with the ex-boss.
Nielsen added: "I have no knowledge what they converse about. All I can confirm is there are no plans for Christian to come to Alpine but that doesn't mean it couldn't occur."
The Grove-based squad boss James Vowles confirmed that Horner had not contacted them.
"We're content with the organization we have and it's effective," Vowles said. "There's no cause to modify it."
